Mackenzie Kroger, LMT
This is the therapy most people are familiar with. Traditional Swedish massage techniques are used in addition to trigger point therapy, myofascial work, stretching, range of motion work, and compression. Pressure and applied techniques are catered to each individual client, and will be discussed at time of service.
Thai Bodywork is a slow-paced healing session during which the therapist uses their hands, feet, elbows, and knees to compress the muscles, stimulate acupressure points and gently stretch the body, allowing deep relaxation, decompression, opening and relief. Thai herbal compresses are often used (and may be requested) to achieve warming of the skin, deeper fluidity within the body, and transdermal application of the healing herbs within.
Prenatal massage is for mothers-to-be that have moved past the first trimester of pregnancy. While prenatal massage, in general, is gentler than our other offerings, it is just as focused, therapeutic and problem-oriented. Whether general relaxation or attention to seemingly endless pain is desired, prenatal massage is sure to provide relief to the women that need it the most.
CBD (cannabidiol) is a compound within the hemp plant that is strongly suggested to yield a plethora of positive effects on the body.
The ailments CBD is suggested to treat include, but are not limited to, chronic pain, multiple sclerosis, fibromyalgia, epilepsy, neurodegeneration, anxiety disorders, PTSD, Alzheimer's and diabetes. CBD has also been studied as an anti-cancer agent, as it may suppress the growth of- and promote the death of- cancerous cells. Try it today to find how CBD oil can benefit you.
Cupping may be provided by use of silicone, hard plastic, or glass cups. All three methods effect adhesion in the fascia, in addition to promoting circulation to areas of ailment. Cupping is a superficially-oriented therapy and, while tightness is normal in ailed areas, should never hurt. *Marking similar to bruising is an expected after-effect of cupping therapy.
Thai Herbal Compresses
Herbal compresses are wonderful, little bundles of warm, healing power with the ability to permeate all five layers of the body. In addition to making your massage feel even cozier, these compresses effect circulation, lymphatic flow, core temperature balance, and add an element of aromatic bliss.
Deep Belly Reset
The belly is one of the most neglected regions of the body in the West, often seen as taboo to tend to. It is also the region that harbors much of our life force- thereby one of the most impactful regions on our overall well-being. The deep belly reset is a two- to three- hour session during which I address ailment and adhesion in all five layers of the belly (skin, tissue, channel, bone, & organ) in order to yield relief that resonates.
Hand, Head, & Foot Therapy
This focused work is designed to tend to the areas of the body that we use so much but often neglect to care for. This service is great for those suffering from plantar fasciitis, migraines, overuse of the hands or excessive standing, or just because!
Rescheduling a massage in advance is not an issue; however a fee of 50% of the originally scheduled service will be applicable to cancellations within 24 hours of your appointment time.
