Join Amanda Lynch, MA, CTP-E, for a 4-week Koru Mindfulness Basic Series. Koru is a mindfulness curriculum developed at Duke University to target developmental needs and interests of young adults. During this 4-week series, Amanda, a trained and certified Koru Mindfulness Teacher-in-Training, will teach students a mindfulness meditation practice, mind-body skills, and dynamic and diaphragmatic breathing. This course begins 7/28 and ends 9/8. In between sessions students will complete an on-going self led mindfulness practice through required reading, daily mindfulness practice, and weekly mindfulness activity. The goal of this course is to help all participants learn practical skills to manage stress and open their minds.
Schedule: 4 Sunday’s - 7/28, 8/11, 8/25 and 9/8 - from 9:00-10:15am
Must register for the full series. Participants are required to purchase the book "Mindfulness for the Twenty Something". No yoga mat required. Wear clothing you feel comfortable sitting in.
