Hands on Assisting

Hands on Assisting with Camille Heller and Marge Allen

Friday 10/27 5:30-9:30 pm
Saturday 10/28 12:30-9:30 pm

Join Marge Allen (E-RYT 500; YACEP) and Camille Heller (E-RYT 200, YACEP) of Humble Haven Yoga as we open up our current 200-hr YTT module on hands-on assists to fellow yoga teachers seeking continuing education on the subject. Whether you have been teaching yoga for years, completed your first 200-hr during the pandemic, or are dusting off your teaching hat after a hiatus - we would be honored for you to join us. This course will be a deep exploration of hands-on assists to learn and understand how to intentionally support your yoga students’ practice through physical touch. We’ll convene for a weekend module, held on Friday evening 10/28 and continue through Saturday 10/29. Marge and Camille firmly believe that touch is rooted in consent, and as teachers, we stand to support- rather than adjust- practitioners in creating stability, strength and freedom in their bodies.

The Journey Into Power sequence is the root of our study. Together, we will practice, lecture, journal, examine, engage, embody, and enact all facets of the art of hands-on assisting for a physical yoga practice. Discussion and practical topics will include the importance of consent, communication, safety, confidence, and anatomical application for assisting vinyasa yoga in a group setting. Over the course of two days, we hope to offer you a rich learning environment and a deeper understanding of how to support a varied population’s unique yoga experience.

Participants must be graduates of a 200-hr yoga teacher training. All RYT’s will earn 13 hours of continuing education accredited through Yoga Alliance.

Investment: $400 early bird (register before 9/30) // $475 (register after 9/30). Enter promo code ‘handson’ at checkout to receive the early bird discount.
