Continuing Education for Yoga Teachers

Thanks to our members, class pack holders, and entire student body at Humble Haven, we were able to support sending 3 of our teachers to specialized training to teach yoga to students with varying abilities in 2023. Ongoing education is not only required to maintain credentials, but important for community, personal, and professional development of our teachers.

Our goal is to provide a 50% scholarship to 3 Humble Haven teachers for continuing education totaling $1800.

How We Got Here

With the opening of our second studio in 2023, we have intentionally carved out and saved physical space in our weekly studio schedule to expand our class offerings for children, teens, and adults with disabilities.

Since opening in 2016, Humble Haven’s owner and founder, Suzanne Burns, has been teaching yoga to children and young adults with disabilities out in the community at parks, community centers, non-profit organizations, as well as in the Humble Haven studio. As a for-profit organization, we’ve been able to use a portion of our profits to offer free programming while still paying our teachers for their time and expertise. Now that we have the studio space to do it, our hope is to expand our offerings and we need your help!

Contributions or gifts to Humble Haven Yoga are not deductible as charitable contributions for Federal income tax purposes.
