Camille Heller
(she/her)
E-RYT 500-HR, YACEP, Tier 2: 750HR Certified Baptiste Yoga Educator Credential
Camille started practicing yoga in 2007, at the tail-end of a rocky, yearlong stint in Los Angeles. Landing back in New York, she found a home at Lyons Den Power Yoga, first as a student, then as a teacher of Baptiste Yoga, completing her 200HR training with the Baptiste Institute in 2014.
In addition to a Baptiste training, she most recently studied with Albina and Roger Rippy for her 300HR YTT. The practices of asana, inquiry and meditation have provided her with the tools to handle transformative shifts both on and off my mat. Camille has found that, more often than not, these shifts have been disruptive, uncomfortable, messy AND necessary.
Camille wholeheartedly believes that the practice of yoga can serve as the catalyst for courageous change in our lives. The intensity of the power practice offers immediate access to the present moment, the only place where real action can be taken. Surrendering (to our inner listening) during the practice can feel confrontational, in a very essential way, as it provides a clear mirror to how we operate off our mat. Camille strives to invite students to see this possibility each time they choose to show up.
