Workshop 1 — Friday, June 20
Introduction to the Warrior Training Method
This workshop introduces the foundational principles behind Warrior Training — a centering, strength-based asana practice designed to develop focus, endurance, body awareness, and mental resilience. We’ll explore the relationship between mindful tension and relaxation, directing awareness inside the body, and cultivating presence through sustained postural work.
What to expect:
An introduction to the core principles of Warrior Training
Instruction on engaging and relaxing the body through complementary postures
Guided exploration of breath, focus, and internal attention
Demonstrations, hands-on corrections, and posture assists
Opportunities to ask questions and deepen understanding of the method
Exposure to several signature Warrior Training postures and holds
This workshop is ideal for students curious about the foundations and philosophy behind the practice, as well as those looking to build greater strength, concentration, and body control.
Workshop 2 — Friday, June 27
Warrior Training: Asymmetrical Holds + Intermediate Variations
Building on the foundations of Warrior Training, this workshop explores asymmetrical postures, intermediate variations, twists, inversions, and more complex holding patterns designed to challenge coordination, stability, and mental focus in new ways.
Students will learn how to apply the core principles of Warrior Training within more demanding and creatively structured postures while continuing to refine awareness, control, and endurance.
What to expect:
A brief review of the foundational principles of Warrior Training
Exploration of asymmetrical holds and intermediate posture variations
Twists, inversions, and progressive strengthening patterns
Demonstrations, posture breakdowns, corrections, and assists
Opportunities for exploration, questions, and individualized feedback
While this workshop builds naturally upon the Introduction to the Warrior Training Method workshop, previous attendance is not required.
